Lucky #13

I have been looking forward to this show for so long! The one and only Nicole Turon-Diaz!  We’ll be talking about her involvement with  Joey Travolta’s film camp, Marblejam kids and www.Lbdesign.org  check out her website to see how cool and inspiring she is!

There have been numerous studies on how great creative arts is for all children.  For children on the Autism spectrum and with behavior difficulties, expressing themselves is not easy.  Using creative art in any form will allow a child how to communicate using a way that will help them grow and glow.  Whether it be music, painting, drawing, writing, singing, or dancing, it’s all helping a child  thrive, adding a little more joy to this world, and a lot of magic to a child’s life.

Support the arts….

You taught my son Mathew in preschool 8 years ago. I must say I am not at all surprised of how successful you’ve become. I want to post this everywhere! Any child that comes into contact with you is the luckiest child. You are like the kid whisperer. You make problem-solving a snap. I know Mathew was not the easiest child to work with, but I really think he uses experiences he learned in Smart Start with you as a teacher still today. If I show him a photo of that class, he says Miss Shane. The years of youth are so important, and you understand this like no other teacher I’ve ever met. I’m sure I’ll see you on The View or Opera one day soon, and you’ll know I’m smiling and supporting you and so is Mathew.

Good luck and best wishes always,
    Faith G

Well well, a shining star. You are a very real person, you do not use jargon and you make HOPE come alive. I have a 14 year old son on the spectrum. I wish I had all this information and there were kind people around when he was first diagnosed. The title “freak” always swam in my head…. and since no one knows me, I feel comfortable sharing that with you…and your listeners. I wish I lived closer so I could attend one of your talks, I bet when parents leave the room, they feel awesome regardless of their home situation.

Thank you for giving me a place to share….

    Greetings Shane,

Anthony, my special autistic child has a special talent in being able to express himself through his drawings. He is having difficulty in making friends since not many children his age or their parents know his capabilities and think he is strange.

Your talk show shows the public that special children, either with autisim syndrome or aspergers is not a freak.

You and your show will go far. I for one look forward to going to the Library and seein a book you’ve written.

You’re a special person and I am glad to have learned of your show.
